CADartists Inc., home of the CADartist, is an organization that enables students of all ages to utilize the power of computers to develop and express their individual artistic talents in a creatively unique process.
Now in it's twelfth year of service, this non profit organization was started by a group of business people volunteering their time and energy to help all children and adults.
The CADart students meet each week in a classroom setting, sit down in front of a P.C. and draw using a mouse. The results have been nothing short of wondrous! Just look!

In "Moonrise Over Venus", a purple moon rises over a yellow planet. Sailboats move serenely towards a warm sunset in "Sunset Sail". These are just two of the many colorful drawings done by the students.
No paintbrushes are held, no watercolors or oils are used...yet the pictures resemble traditional art.
The students can choose how thick or how thin their "brush stroke" will be and whether their picture will look like an oil or watercolor painting. They can enlarge or reduce their drawing, move it around, flip it over, duplicate it or even try out different colors or add shading. Their computer canvas can take on any number of changes or revisions.
The special program eliminates the frustration many of these students would have in a traditional art class. If mistakes are made, they can be easily corrected or erased to begin again.
For their efforts, each week a student is selected to be "Artist Of The Week". The student receives special award, like a T-shirt, depicting the artwork. All students get their pictures framed.
The class is supported by local volunteers and
businesses who donate their time and various supplies. They all agree that they
get as many benefits from helping these students as the students do from creating their computer
art.
